You can browse recipes, leave reviews, upload photos, follow friends, and discover meals that fit your schedule and wallet.

UniBites is designed for university students and budget-conscious learners who want to cook affordable, quick, and tasty meals. Whether you're a beginner cook or just looking to save money on food, UniBites has something for you.

How do I get started?

Create a free account, then browse recipes by category, price per serving, or cook time. You get three free recipe unlocks every week to explore the community cookbook. Leave reviews, upload photos of your creations, and react to recipes with emojis to help others find the best dishes.

How much does UniBites cost?

UniBites is free to use with three recipe unlocks per week. For full unlimited access to every recipe, review, and feature, you can subscribe to UniBites Unlimited for £3.99/month or £29.99/year (a saving of over 37% compared to monthly).

What is UniBites Unlimited?

UniBites Unlimited is our premium subscription that gives you unlimited access to every recipe, review, and feature on the platform — no weekly unlock limit. It costs £3.99/month or £29.99/year. You can subscribe from the app's subscription page or pricing comparison.

Can I buy individual recipe credits instead of subscribing?

Yes! If you don't want a subscription, you can buy individual recipe credits: a Single credit for £1.00 or a Duo (3 credits) for £1.50. Each credit unlocks one recipe permanently.

How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel your subscription at any time from Settings → Subscription. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period, after which it will not renew. You can also switch between monthly and annual plans at any time.

What happens to my unlocked recipes if I cancel?

Recipes you've already unlocked with credits or during your subscription remain accessible. Cancelling only stops future renewals — you keep access until the end of your current billing period.

Refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. If you believe you're entitled to a refund, you can reach us by: calling 0333 880 6644, emailing hello@unibites.co.uk, messaging us on TikTok or Instagram @getunibites, or opening a support chat in the app. Our team will look into it for you.

What are recipe credits / unlocks?

Recipe credits (also called unlocks) let you access individual recipes. Every week you receive three free unlocks to explore the community cookbook. Once you unlock a recipe, it stays in your library permanently. You can also buy additional credits or get UniBites Unlimited for no limits.

How many free unlocks do I get per week?

You get three free recipe unlocks every week. Your free unlocks refresh weekly, so you can always explore new recipes without paying.

What features does UniBites have?
